ABOUT THIS PROJECT
In 1998 to Ukraine was transferred the precious book collection of Serge Lyfar by the dancer's widow - countess Lillan Alefeldt.
In accordance with the decision of the National Committee for restitution of cultural values this collection was located in the Department of Arts of our library. It numbers 817 items.
And it is only a small part of the large collection Serge Lyfar had been gathering during his life.
In 2001 our library has made project "Returned Names", it was the beginning of our online Exhibition.
The Exhibition is completely devoted to the book collection of Serge Lyfar - the head of the Paris Grand Opera, premier danseur of the Russian Seasons of Sergiy Diaghilev's ballet and prominent collector.
